Recreation
You'll never run out of adventure in Fayetteville. Hiking, canoeing, fishing, water-skiing, biking, and sailing - you can do it all here. That's why Fayetteville was recently ranked #23 among the "coolest" college towns by Outside Magazine. For those who prefer to sit back and watch others perform athletic feats, there's always the renowned Arkansas Razorbacks sports program to keep you on the edge of your seat.
You'll find numerous public and private golf courses including Razorback Park Golf Course, Paradise Valley Athletic Club, The Fayetteville Country Club, and Stonebridge Meadows, named the number one public course in the state by Golf Digest.
3,000 acres of city parkland with tennis courts, soccer fields, playgrounds and baseball fields stretch across Fayetteville. Not to mention 739 acres of area lakes. Splash around in Lake Fayetteville or Lake Sequoyah right here in town. Or if you feel like venturing a little further out, make the short trip to Beaver Lake, the Ozark National Forest, Table Rock Lake, the Buffalo River, Cosmic Cavern, Devil's Den State Park, Kings River, Lake Wedington, War Eagle Cavern, War Eagle Creek, White Rock Wildlife Management Area, and Withrow Springs State Park.
