Arts & Entertainment
The cultural centerpiece of Northwest Arkansas is the Walton Arts Center, a beautiful arts and entertainment complex in Fayetteville - attracting nationally prominent theater, concerts, dance troupes and other entertaining events. Past performers include Bill Cosby, B. B. King, and the touring companies of "Evita," "A Chorus Line," and "Chicago." It's also home base for the respected North Arkansas Symphony. The adjacent Nadine Baum Learning Center provides studio art and drama workshop experiences for all ages.
The University of Arkansas also presents superb theatrical and musical productions throughout the year, as do the nearby Arts Center of the Ozarks, Shiloh Museum of Ozark History, and Ozark Stage Works.
The Downtown Square and Dickson Street Entertainment District resonate with live music - from jazz to blues to rock. Thanks to bicycle-mounted police patrols and Fayetteville's laid-back atmosphere, fun-seekers safely walk from venue to venue, soaking it all in with friends and family.
Various festivals and events keep things lively in Fayetteville all year long. Thousands enjoy Fayetteville's fun-packed annual Springfest, Autumnfest, Lights of the Ozarks Festival (named one of the top 100 events in North America by America Bus Association) and Bikes, Blues & BBQ.
